INQUIRIES ABOUT SKI SCHOOL?
Course information can be found on our website, but we are happy to answer any additional questions. The best way is by email. Send your inquiry to info@serenahiihtokoulu.com, we will try to respond the same evening, the next day at the latest. Please note that Serena Ski School is run by a different company than the ski resort, so always send a message directly to the ski school. Please note that email is for inquiries only, bookings are made as described below.
HOW TO BOOK A SKI SCHOOL LESSON?
ONLINE booking is the easiest way to book a ski school – you can see the courses, times and prices available immediately. You can also book a course on site at the Serena rental shop’s ski school desk during our opening hours. Please note that reservations cannot be accepted by phone/email, but only as online bookings or bookings made on site. The exception is for corporate, school and association customers with whom invoicing has been agreed.
Please always book your lessons in advance, at least 48 hours in advance! To book a ski school lesson or course, we need the following information (to be filled in when booking):
Time and type of lesson/course, name and mobile phone number of the participant, age of those under 18 and guardian’s mobile phone number.
If you want a gear package, then shoe size, personal height (for ski/board length) and weight (for correct adjustment of ski bindings)
PAYMENT METHODS
Courses and lessons are primarily paid for online at the time of booking, with online banking or card payment as payment methods (Edenred card is not accepted in the online store). Bookings made on site at the rental shop can be paid for with all payment methods accepted at Serena (including sports benefits), and payment is made at the time of booking.
On site, we accept
- cash and all major credit cards
- TYKY fitness vouchers
- Edenred fitness vouchers, mobile payment (EdenredPay).
- ePassi mobile payment
- Invoicing is only possible for companies, associations and public organizations upon prior written agreement.
- Equipment rental can also be paid for with sports and culture vouchers/cards/mobile payment when purchasing ski school services.
- Serena’s value gift card also works as a means of payment for ski school services. However, the entrance gift card is not accepted as a payment method for ski school services, but you can use it to pay for your lift ticket for self-guided skiing after a ski school lesson.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Read the ski school’s terms and conditions. You can also see the cancellation conditions in the terms and conditions.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF A SKI SCHOOL LESSON/COURSE?
The price includes downhill, cross-country, telemark or snowboarding lessons. One ski school lesson is 50 minutes long. A two-hour course is 2 x 50 minutes. Lift rides are always included in the price of ski school lessons, so a separate lift ticket is not required. In the case of an equipment rental package, equipment rental is also included in the price for the duration of the ski school.
However, it is often useful and fun to continue skiing on your own after a ski school lesson. Serena offers a lift ticket after a ski school lesson at a low additional price!
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT SERENA?
When you arrive at Serena, first come and register at the ski school counter. Our customer service counter is located in the equipment rental shop. If your lesson/course starts right when the center opens, arrive 15 minutes before opening. Otherwise, please arrive at least half an hour before the start of the course/lesson, so you will receive the equipment and instructions well in advance of the actual lesson, and the lesson time will not be wasted!
If you have booked an equipment package in connection with the ski school, we will direct you to the rental shop after registration. The ski instructors will assist you with the appropriate equipment. You can also book the equipment afterwards, but in this case, please be prepared for a waiting time according to other customer situations. We always recommend renting the equipment package in connection with course registration to ensure the smoothest possible transaction.
Once you have registered for the course/lesson and received any rental equipment, go outside to the meeting point. All courses/lessons start at the meeting point in front of the slopes.
At the customer service desk, we will be happy to tell you about all the ski school products and the good cross-country skiing opportunities in the nearby areas.
WEATHER BOOKING?
Serena Ski School has no frost, wind, rain or other weather restrictions. When it rains or is very cold, we will take short breaks in the Ice Café if necessary. Dress warmly according to the weather. Dressing in layers and having mittens and a change of gloves works well. Wool socks do not fit in boots.
WHAT TO DO WHEN OTHERS ARE AT SKI SCHOOL?
Go skiing or snowboarding on the slopes yourself, or even to the water park! During children’s ski schools, we hope that parents will be hidden from the children’s eyes. In addition to the slopes, Serena has excellent cross-country skiing trails in the cities of Espoo and Vantaa towards Pe
